Get to Know Taylor Mcleod
Taylor McLeod is currently completing her final semester at Rutgers Law School, with plans to sit for the California Bar Exam in February 2026. She holds a B.A. in History and a minor in Community Engagement & Social Change from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Taylor’s passion lies in child advocacy and parental rights. She serves as the Youth Advocacy Coordinator for the Association of Black Law Students, creating pathways to higher education for underserved high school students. Her published work addresses access to justice for communities of color and other underrepresented groups. She also works closely with the Children’s Law Center, supporting families of color who face systemic biases.
In her free time, Taylor enjoys international solo travel, a passion shaped by her Jamaican and Mexican heritage and fluency in Spanish. She also loves spending time at the beach with her dog, Zuko.
