ASHOT HOVHANNISYAN

Assistant Managing Attorney III

Ashot is an associate attorney at Provinziano & Associates. He is originally from Armenia, but moved to Los Angeles at the age of 14. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, receiving a B.A in Political Science and a minor in History. He received his Juris Doctorate from University of Southern California, Gould School of Law in 2019. During law school, Ashot was a member of the Review of Law and Social Justice Journal, occupying the position of Special Projects Editor, assisting the journal in a variety of ways. Ashot was also a member of the Armenian Law Student Association, occupying the position of treasurer. Ashot began working as a paralegal at Provinziano & Associates in his second year of law school and found himself enjoying family law and the difference he can make in people’s lives. Family lawyers, in his view, also occupy a therapeutic position, aside from being the legal advisor to a client. This is a role that Ashot enjoys, as always willing to listen, provide advice, and just be a way for people to vent their frustrations if necessary.

He has been working with the firm since the summer of 2018 when he started as a paralegal. Ashot passed the Bar in November of 2019 and became a fully licensed attorney in December of 2019. He has since been working on many different aspects within the firm, such as managing discovery, drafting pre and post nuptial agreements, preparing briefs and requests for order, among other pleadings, as well as working closely with clients and opposing counsel.

During his free time, Ashot enjoys reading books, primarily fantasy novels, playing video games, catching up on his favorite shows, going to hobby shops with a group of friends, or expanding his collections of miniatures or cards.
